I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I moved to northern Alabama 9 years ago to begin a new phase in my life with a man from Tennessee, Chip Bradley. He works for TVA at the Brownsferry Nuclear Plant.
I raised 3 daughters who grew up to be strong, independent, beautiful woman. I may have overdone the independent part because they all live too far away. Sandy lives in Washington. She works full time, goes to school at night, and is the mother to my only grandchild, Cole. He is nine, loves Spiderman, and brings so much joy to our family. Julie is my bohemian. She went to vacation in St Thomas 5 years ago and never came home. Becky Jo went to school at the University of Miami, graduating in 2004. She stayed in that area and is now a licensed, practicing architect. She is also responsible for creating this beautiful website.
I have always worked with the public in some creative aspect. I taught painting classes at a junior college for 10 years, also working as an artist for a furniture company, Plantation Pine, during that time. My love of design and gardening led me to start my own company. Through Blackbird Design, I offer an artistic approach to landscape design as well as decorative painting. My job description has grown to so much more. I am often asked to pick house colors and suggest changes to give more curb appeal. That has led to some interior design jobs as well.
It is with much excitement that I bring that background into my real estate career. I can offer help in staging your home to optimize sale potential, help you visualize the perfect home with a new color palette if needed, and most importantly listen carefully to what is important to you.
